LIVE SAN MARINO
Discovering the enchanting charm of San Marino, the oldest Republic in the world, in the heart of Italy
A small but precious Republic located on Mount Titano, nestled between Marche and Emilia Romagna, which was born from afar and has 1700 years of history. On 7 July 2008, Monte Titano, with its Historic Center of San Marino and the Castle of Borgo Maggiore, became a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its universal value and exceptional point of excellence for its cultural, landscape and natural heritage, deserving protection for the benefit of all humanity.
You will be fascinated by the peculiarity of its Historic Center, the beating heart of the Republic, and its important monuments: mighty medieval stone walls, Tre Torri that have become the symbol of San Marino itself, magnificent historic buildings and ancient churches, numerous museums including the State Museum, the Museum of Postage Stamps and Money and the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. A dream scenario that offers hundreds of shops and restaurants where you can shop and taste the local food and wine delicacies. A few kilometers from the sea and surrounded by suggestive panoramas, San Marino is among the most beautiful villages to visit to relive atmospheres of other times that seem anything but lost.
If it occurs on February 5th, March 25th, April 1st and October 1st, the first Thursday after Pentecost (June), July 28th, 1 September, you will have the opportunity to experience the traditional festivals of our history.
